Distance learning course “Digital Bibliography”

From February 20 to March 6, 2017 the staff of the Scientific Library master the distance learning course “Digital Bibliography”. The organizers and partners, which is distance Academy PG “Osnova”, Korolenko state scientific library with assistance of the Kharkiv regional office (branch) of the Ukrainian library association.
Thematic plan:
- The essence and specifics of the electronic bibliography. The structure of the bibliographic activities in the electronic environment.
- Classification of bibliographic electronic resources
- Bibliographic description of remote access resources (including posts from social networks). Bibliographic reference.
- Generation of bibliographic electronic resources
- Bibliographic service of users. Information socialization, self-service information.
- Virtual exhibition in the library as a bibliographic resource.
- Innovations in the development and promotion of recommendatory bibliographic resources (booktube, funbook, book slam, longread etc.)
- System of preparation of bibliographic electronic resources in Ukraine. Organization and management of bibliographic electronic resources

On February 22, 2017 for library employees hosted the author’s webinar of T. Kolesnikova (CandSc. (Social communication), Senior Researcher, Director of the Library of Dnipropetrovsk National University of Railway Transport) “Services ‘Library Publishing‘ in university libraries of the world and Ukraine”, where it was raised and the possibility of the need for wide implementation in the libraries of universities in Ukraine model “Library Publishing“, which focuses on the need for a comprehensive electronic support research needs of the university community, namely the provision of services such as the library’s e-publishing; the digitization and preservation of digital archives; information and technical support of periodicals; provide bibliometric indicators of scientific results; promotion of scientific articles and journals in international databases etc.

On February 24 at 10 a.m., we invite to the first overview webinar for scientists about opportunities of the Web of Science platform.
“Introduction to Web of Science: for an hour about the main”:
- Search and the analysis of information in Web of Science Core Collection. A collection of mistakes, which resulted in lack of search results.
- Creation of own card file of articles in the reference-manager of EndNote on-line and execution of publications on a format of a certain edition.
- The analysis of editions by means of Journal Citation Report (impact-factor).
- Author’s ResearcherID and ORCID identifiers – panacea or excess efforts?
