STRENGTHENING ACADEMIC INTEGRITY IN UKRAINE PROJECT

Odessa I. I. Mechnikov National University – the participant of the Strengthening Academic Integrity in Ukraine project – SAIUP, which component was a project “Culture of the academic respectability: a role of libraries” (the coordinator – O. Serbin) which is founded in 2016 the Ukrainian library association. The Scientific library of the Odessa I. I. Mechnikov National University is a part of the working groups on the International Rules of Citing, Computer Programs of Check on Plagiarism and Organization of Campaigns for Formation of Culture of the Academic Integrity in library.
On the official site of the Scientific library of the Odessa I. I. Mechnikov National University the Formation of the Academic Integrity database is submitted, and also on the Scientometrics page methodical recommendations about questions of registration and integration of results of scientific research and periodicals in the international space, creation of an author’s profile, rules of drawing up the bibliographic description and references are placed. Continuous access to world information resources of relevant information with which it is possible to get acquainted on the Subscription Databases page is provided.
On April 20, 2017 there took place the conference “The academic integrity: practicing of the Ukrainian higher education institutions” which organizers are the American Councils for the international education, Strengthening Academic Integrity in Ukraine project – SAIUP, National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”, the Ukrainian library association with assistance of the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine.
In section No. 4 “A role of library in support of the principles of integrity” the director of the Scientific library of the Odessa I. I. Mechnikov National University Maryna Oleksiivna Podrezova took part with the report “High school library took part in the Strengthening Academic Integrity in Ukraine project: experience”.
